Trace Amounts is an independent New York City record label operating in the dance music scene, founded in 2023 by Westend.
The label was born as an outlet for Westend to release his own music with full creative control — and to sign records he genuinely believes in. Records that live in his sets. From emerging producers finding their voice to established artists we've long admired, we don't discriminate between big names and small ones. Good music first, always.
Independent by design. We champion producers and underground voices sharpening the sound of modern dance music.
Five boroughs in, hemispheres out. The city is our A&R filter, our mastering room, our late-night proving ground — every record we sign has to survive a New York dance floor before it goes anywhere else.

A neighborhood feeling on a global map. We build community around the music first — the kind of scene that starts on one block in Brooklyn and turns up on a dance floor in Melbourne by the weekend.

NYC is our DNA and our edge. The pace, the crate-digging, the after-hours culture — the city writes the brief, and every record we put out has to answer to it.

Like a fish in the East River, we do our best work in rough conditions. We challenge the safe move, back the odd record, and trust that texture and grit outlast polish.

Releases, events, merch, artwork, artist rollouts — every touchpoint gets the same level of care. If it goes out with our name on it, it's been fought over first.
